HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Our 2024 holiday schedule is as follows. Please note service times will likely be later than usual with the additional holiday volume.
The Bissonnet Municipal Utility District (MUD) will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed tax rate for the tax year 2024 on:
The proposed tax rate for 2024 is $0.485 per $100 of value, a slight decrease from last year’s rate of $0.495 per $100 of value. While this reflects a $0.01 per $100 reduction, the average taxable value of a residence homestead has increased from $218,478 to $239,396, meaning taxes on the average residence homestead will increase from $1,081.47 to $1,161.07.
This results in an annual increase of approximately $79.60 for the average taxpayer if the proposed rate is adopted, representing a 7.36% increase in taxes.

The Bissonnet Municipal Utility District will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2022 on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon, at 6363 Woodway, Suite 800, Houston, TX 77057. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in the taxable value of all other property determines the distribution of the tax burden among all property owners.
